Confession. I am addicted to essential oils. There’s a collection of essential oils in my bathroom, and also some in my kit that I use on a daily basis. Always being a natural ingredients fan, after working for Lush Cosmetics , the passion just grew stronger.
I make my own concoctions as well as using them alone. They’re all so beneficial, being good both for the skin and the mind through uplifting scents.
I could ramble on about all my oils all day…but I think we should stick to why we’re here right now. Rosehip Oil; it’s one of those products I wish I’d discovered a long time ago! Rosehip oil is harvested from the seeds of rose bushes, predominantly grown in Chile.
- essential fatty acids
- corrects dark spots
- fine lines and wrinkles
- fading scars
- reducing acne
- firming skin
- evening out skin tone
How to Use:
This beautiful essential oil can do wonders for your skin. It’s a dry oil, this means it doesn’t sit on the skin and leave an oily residue; it leaves a more satin finish on the skin.
- Take 3-4 drops and mix it into your moisturiser. Massage it into the skin (don’t forget your neck).
- Take 4-5 drops and massage into clean, toned skin.
I recommend incorporating this oil into your night time routine. If you have an oilier skin tone, I wouldn’t recommend using this underneath makeup. A dryer skin could easily where this under makeup or on its own in the day.
NOTE: The only down side to side essential oil is the smell, we all have our personal preferences when it comes to scents, this one isn’t my favourite. It’s not very strong and I do put up with it for the benefits, but if you’re sensitive to smells just be warned.
