Chanel CC Cream Review

The Chanel CC cream is a product I’ve always had in the back of my head, as a wish list kind of item lets say. I was given a sample at the counter when purchasing other products which naturally made me very excited as I love a good sample. The 3ml sample lastest me so long! Weeks not days, so I was sold on making the splurge and needed to review it for you.

Just to clarify quickly. CC vs BB cream –

A BB cream is a Beauty Balm, it’s generally a gel formula but can also be cream. BB cream is typically packed with skincare benefits and a light coverage. Consider a BB cream to be much like a tinted moisturizer when it comes to coverage. CC cream, is a Colour Correcting or Complexion Correcting cream; working on covering sallow skin, redness, pigmentation and other concerns. The majority of brands stock both or one of the two these days, I personally find they’ve all taken their own spin on what the product should be like. This can be a huge benefit to us althought confusing; there’s something out there for all of us.

Super Active Complete Correction SPF 50

You need less than a pea-sized amount of this product for your whole face. I’ve ended up using too much on several occasions, I mean it when I say a little bit goes such a long way. This CC cream gives a great medium coverage that evens out the complexion and refines the skin texture, this I’m a huge fan of as I have larger pores around my nose and it minimizes them in seconds. It’s easily buildable without feeling heavy or looking cakey on the skin. I generally use this cream like a moisturizer and apply it all over my skin with my fingers.

TIP: Press the product into your skin with your fingertips, making sure it’s blended into your hairline and neck.

The cc cream sits really nicely on the skin throughout the day. Most products make my nose shine within a few hours but this seems to hold its satin finish without powdering my t-zone. It feels really comfortable on the skin everyone! It’s so light and it feels so effortless. Well, I suppose that is the way of Chanel! Not worrying about how a product looks on your face throughout the day? What? Yes, please.

I’m a big fan of working with cream products, as I may have mentioned many a time; all cream and gel bronzers, highlighters and blushers blend well without separating or disturbing the cc creams coverage.

On a side note on the skincare aspect of it, this cc cream is really amazing for your skin.
